Curry Tree

Murraya koenigii bonsai

Curry Tree In The Home Yarden (Murraya koenigii)

While these trees could make for an interesting bonsai, our initial set up will be a tree, grown full size for it's feathery look and as an herb source. A little bonsai may be good if it needs trimming regularly, but the shade value is of higher importance right now.  Maybe a future cutting would work for bonsai.

Curry leaves are not the same as curry powder. Curry powder is a blend of spices combined for convenience.

Let's Get Growin

SUN: Full sun, even in our location.
WATER: Water regularly
SOIL PH: specifics not found yet, slightly acidic recommended
FERTILIZER: Regular applications of fertilizer are helpful to stimulate plant growth. You can top dress with organic fertilizer every 6 weeks or apply a liquid fertilizer at half the recommended dosage once a week during the active growing season.

November 30, 2017- Kadi Patta Arrived

The little curry leaf trees arrived today - looks like a two-fer deal here.  It is tiny and a bit mopey.

We pulled off the packing tape, and added a bit of water. Maybe after a few days and a re-pot we will have a bit more joy going on here.
